Acceptable Samples
DNA
is found in every cell in the body, with the exception
being red blood cells which have no nucleus. The
easiest way to collect DNA is by using a cotton swab to
scrape the inner cheek for skin cells. This also
produces a reliable and consistent source of DNA.
Non-Standard Samples
We consider all
non-mouth swab samples as non-standard. We have had many
successes in obtaining DNA from various sources.
Non-standard samples can be very good items of evidence
but at times will fail to produce a profile for
unexplained reasons. We can try to test anything you
wish but keep in mind that all non-standard samples are
not the same and there are no guarantees that the item
will work.

Disclaimer
Although the items listed above are good examples, there
is no guarantee that there will be a usable DNA sample
on the item.
Choose the
Best Sample
Adding 1 non-standard sample to a 2 person paternity
test increases the price from $79 to $154. If you send
us a sample that has no DNA on it and we have to go to
the next non-standard item, the cost for the 2nd item
will be $125. Please choose the best possible sample first
and if you need help deciding, give us a call.
Make
Your Own Kit
If you are sending
in a non-standard sample you already have half of your
kit made. To complete the process, go to the
make your own kit page and follow
the instructions.
